John Jones, PMI Otowi Bridge Chapter, and SallyTrigg, PMI Rio Grande Chapter, were awarded two our of the four world wide PMI 2014 Volunteer of the Year awards at the Leadership Institute Meeting held in October in Phoenix, Az.

This award recognizes the chapter volunteer who has demonstrated measurable commitment and leadership in supporting the programs, products and services executed by their community.

SallyJohnatLim14webPMI takes great pleasure in informing you that Sally Trigg of the PMI Rio Grande Chapter will receive a 2014 PMI® Chapter Award for Volunteer of the Year. Sally spent untold hours of volunteer effort for the PMI Rio Grande Chapter and set a standard for volunteerism that few can emulate. With dedication she successfully led the chapter’s scholarship program and successful 2013 International Project Mananagement Day activities. Project Management Institute wishes to thank Sally for outstanding service to PMI and the PMI Rio Grande Chapter. Sally will be recognized at the PMI Leadership Institute Meeting being held 23-25 October 2014 in Phoenix, AZ, USA

November 13, 2014

Andy Daniels, Vice President of Membership, has informed me of andydaniels-smallhis resignation from our Board of Directors.

Andy was elected into his position this past summer and worked to build communication with new members. He remains a strong supporter of our chapter and we wish him well in all his endeavors. Andy’s departure was effective upon notification and his position currently remains unfilled.

On May 14 PMIRGC celebrated a the 2013-14 chapter year with member and officer recognitions, announcement of new officers, and scholarship awards.

After a financial report showing that PMIRGC was in strong financial shape (net gain of over $9500 for the year), the crowd heard about the major accomplishments of 2013-2014, including the first International Project Management Day Conference, the new PMIRGC Mentorship Program, the new PMP Exam Prep Class, and the Jobs Program that is under development.
