The Team Building Panel will be a discussion panel of three experts in the field of team building discussing topics relating to building a quality project team. The discussion will be in a question and answer format, allowing attendees the opportunity to answer specific questions that they might have.

Barbara Lopez has been in the utility industry for fifteen years in several IT leadership roles including Senior Director of IT at the New Mexico Gas Company and Director of IT Infrastructure and IT Program Manager at PNM Resources. She has directed the activities of many teams throughout her career including software developers, the service desk, desktop technologies, telecommunications, data center services, and power operations support teams. She created the Leadership Coaching Program at PNM Resources to develop leadership skills of high potential leaders in the IT department. Previously Barbara provided applications consulting and development support for over ten years to various national laboratories, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Microsoft Corporation. She is on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Technology Council where she developed the 5-year strategic plan. She was awarded the 2009 Women in Technology award from the New Mexico Technology Council for her efforts in mentoring women and students in technology fields. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico, is a certified Project Management Professional, and holds foundation, practitioner, and manager level ITIL certifications.

BTS President, Jane Betterton, PMP & OPM3P - Since 1992 Jane has utilized best practices in project management to provide practical solutions in today’s dynamic and complex organizational structures. She has extensive strategic planning, project management, organizational and personnel development experience. With her academic and professional background in chemical engineering, R&D type manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and software development, Jane has specialized in working with complex technical environments. Utilizing her technical background Jane works collaboratively with organizations to develop an effective Organizational Project Management (OPM) framework that is practical and consistent. Jane is an expert in using and training project managers to use MS Project, Visio and Microsoft Office applications to communicate effectively in an organization to support the successful completion of projects.
Susan Junda is the President of Dynamic Solutions, a training, coaching and consulting company which helps companies better utilize their people to create phenomenal business results.
With over 15 years of service in facilitating teams from both the project management and team ddevelopment perspective, Susan’s passion and forte is to assist others, whether individually or in teams, discover their true nature or purpose, transcend limited thinking and generate extraordinary possibilities for the future.
When not working with clients, Susan is a seminar leader for the American Management Association, teaching public and on-site sessions in project management and team development. She is a certified facilitator of the Team Spirit program developed by Barry Heermann, Executive Director of the Expanded Learning Institute.
Susan has an MBA in Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Colorado and a BS in Computer Science and Industrial Relations from Rider University. In addition, she is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, and is an Advanced Toastmaster (ATM-B). She is a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement and the Project Management Institute.
