Volunteers Select Scholarship Recipient and Create Committee - 2013

On April 22, 2013, nine PMIRGC volunteers selected the recipient of the first $2,500 PMIRGC scholarship and formed a new Volunteer Committee.

Volunteers gathered in the evening to read scholarships and to meet each other. Five PMIRGC members applied for the first chapter scholarship.

My name is Lori Baca and I am a member of the PMI Otowi Bridge Chapter in New Mexico. I am completing my doctoral research in Business Administration. If you are a virtual team member, please consider participating in the anonymous survey linked below.

A virtual project means any project consisting of team members distributed geographically. Virtual project team members could also be from different organizations, different cultures, working in different time zones or within the same organization but in a different office. The key to a virtual project team in this case has to do with geographic dispersion; a virtual team has to rely on communications technologies like e-mail and chat rooms to achieve project goals.
